IMPORTANT NOTE

  • All passport holders travelling to Madagascar require a visa. Temporary SA passports are accepted.
  • Visa can be issued in South Africa.
  • Visas can be also issued on arrival at the airport in Madagascar for:  
    • 140 000 Ariary or  ± 65 Euro or 85 US.                                                                                                                        
    • Should be advised to have 4 photos in their possession, a valid passport and a return airticket.

                                    Travels agencies or visas couriers are able to apply on behalf of clients.

                                    Cost:  From 1st June 2008:
                                                  A New Visa Fee: R 750-00.
                                                
                                                 Valid for either:
                                                           A). One (1) month or    
                                                           B). Three (3) months.

                                    Payment to be made by CASH Deposit only to the Bank Account
                                   of the Embassy of Madagascar.
                                    The deposit slip must be enclosed to all the documents.

In order to collect visaed passport, the messenger must have receipt (which is given on submission of passport) as proof of reception of the passport.
